At Dolphins Early Education, our curriculum begins with the child.

We follow a child-led, emergent approach, where children’s interests, ideas and curiosity shape their learning. We notice what they are drawn to, listen to their questions and build on the things that naturally capture their attention.

Our environments are calm, inviting and full of opportunities to explore. We use natural materials, open-ended resources, tuff trays and a variety of sensory experiences, alongside plenty of outdoor play, giving children the freedom to investigate, create, imagine and discover in their own way.

We believe children need time to become deeply involved in their play. Our educators support this by observing, encouraging and extending learning without taking over. There doesn’t always need to be a finished product; the experience, the thinking and the discovery are where the learning happens.

Every child has a place at Dolphins. We are inclusive and respectful of each child’s individuality, abilities, background and way of learning. We want every child to feel secure, valued and confident to be themselves.
